There are not many artists today writing piano-driven
rock to the likes of
Ben Folds.  It's this very sentiment
that inspired Rich Berretta to record his own music and
fill the genre void.

Rich began his music career by forming a teen choir in
the Bronx.  He and his friends sang contemporary music
in SFX parish, creating a social environment that
welcomed youth to celebrate the liturgy.

Rich has also played in the keyboard trio
Gizmo, which
performs locally in New York for seasonal concerts.

Currently Rich plays piano at Holy Rosary parish in the
Bronx for a monthly
youth Mass, under the direction of
fellow musician
Rassan Bourke.

Rich's debut album is a blend of pop, Christian rock, and
gospel-- reminiscent of
Tom Booth and Jars of Clay.
While
In Philosophy is a pop tune set in college class,
songs like
Fountain and I Will Sing are contemporary
approaches to traditional Biblical psalms.
In the Silence features artists such as Sally-Ann
D'Amato, currently lead singer of the rock band
Mina's Fantasy.  Reach Down, featured on the
album, portrays Sally's talent as a unique
singer-songwriter.

In the Silence also features accomplished
performer
Frank Louis Pisani on the track, I Will
Sing, which he co-wrote, sung, and played
Hammond.

NYC producer Mark Godwin produced & mixed the
album, blending rock & pop aptly for Rich's
faith-driven work.

The CD's bonus track is an all-out jam straight from
Nashville, compliments of producer
Joe Hand,
singer
John Grassadonia, and other CAM artists.

The apologetic single
Again Again, just released in
2006, boasts more rock than Rich's debut.
